A Message from Fabrice Derepas: Reflecting on the Journey and Looking Forward

It’s been an amazing journey since we founded TrustInSoft back in 2013 with Pascal and Benjamin. When I began this venture, we had a vision: to create a company that could transform software development by providing exhaustive static analysis tools with mathematical guarantees for software safety, security, and reliability. I am immensely proud of what we have achieved together in these years, expanding from our initial focus on critical industries to broader markets such as consumer electronics and automotive sectors.

With the support of our dedicated team and partners in Asia, in Europe and especially in the US, we have delivered our promise. TrustInSoft Analyzer has become a benchmark for proving the absence of entire classes of software vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance with the most stringent industry standards. Our solutions have been adopted by leaders across sectors ranging from aerospace and defense to automotive and consumer electronics. This growth and success would not have been possible without the collaborative spirit of everyone at TrustInSoft and the continuous support of our customers and stakeholders. I was happy to bootstrap the business.

In January 2024, it was the right moment to hand over the role of CEO to Caroline Guillaume—a decision that I believed was the right step for the company’s growth and future. Since then, I’ve served as Chief Evangelist, promoting the adoption of formal methods and representing TrustInSoft at the highest levels. Over the last few years, we have witnessed our technology being acknowledged by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and being leveraged by industry leaders like Airbus and Mitsubishi for critical software systems. This recognition validates the vision we had and the tireless effort we’ve put in.

Today, after more than a decade leading TrustInSoft, I am announcing my decision to step down from my operational role and pursue new opportunities. I will remain on the Board of Directors, providing guidance and support to the leadership team, but I believe the time has come for me to explore new horizons. I am confident in the strength and capability of the team to take TrustInSoft to even greater heights.

As I move on, I am filled with a deep sense of pride for what we have built together. I am thankful to my co-founders, Pascal and Benjamin, for being such incredible partners in this endeavor. Together, we introduced a new standard of software assurance, enabling our customers to tackle the most complex software challenges with confidence and peace of mind.

Looking ahead, I am excited about the future for both TrustInSoft and myself. I will continue to work within the realm of formal methods, but in a new capacity and different industry context. My journey with TrustInSoft has not ended; it’s merely evolving, and I look forward to seeing the company’s continued success from a different vantage point.
